CSK will be led by MS Dhoni in IPL 2023
Mahendra Singh Dhoni will lead the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), in the next Indian Premier League (IPL) season. According to Kasi Viswanathan, CSK CEO, the former Indian captain who led Chennai more than ten times since 2008 would be the captain for the 2023 IPL seasons.
The IPL 2023 auction will take place in February 2023. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the defending champions are experiencing a difficult year. The IPL 2022 standings have the men in yellow at the second-worst place with only four wins from league games. Fans and the team will be boosted by the inclusion of MS in their squad.
Dhoni says that the motivation to play is in saying goodbye to his Chennai fans and all of India.
MS Dhoni in CSK Squad, earlier confirm
MS Dhoni was the captain of Chennai Super Kings and confirmed earlier that he would lead the four-time IPL champions in 2023. He said that it would be unfair if he didn’t say “thanks” to Chennai and CSK fans.
When asked if he would be playing in the IPL 2022 match against Rajasthan Royals, MS Dhoni replied “Yes,” when asked if he would wear Chennai Super Kings colours next season. Dhoni added, “It’s a very simple reason. It would be unfair not to play in Chennai and thank you.”
MS Dhoni said, “Hopefully, next season there will be an occasion where the teams will travel so it will all be alike,” before hinting at his stay for the next season.
The skipper of CSK stated, “Whether it’ll be my last year or no that’s a big issue because we know we can’t predict something two years later but I’ll definitely be working hard to get back strong next year.”
